The Guardians Special Care Home is a licensed level 2 special care home located on the Northside of Fredericton. The facility built in 2008-2009 has been in operation since August 2009, and is locally owned and operated. The Guardians strives to provide an enriched, healthy living experience for their residents. Nestled into Nashwaaksis The Guardians is close to many amenities including shopping malls, restaurants, bus stops, outreach programs, & convenience stores; greatly improving the opportunity for employment placements for those seeking work. The residents enjoy the outdoor on-site pool during the summer months, are encouraged to join and participate in all activities be it singing, swimming, dancing, board/card games, karaoke, cooking, light chores, and many different Special Olympics sports & activities to name a few. The home has a large communal living space with couches, chairs, & puzzle boards. A large Tv entertains the game show watchers by day and sport enthusiast by night. Directly beside the large open concept kitchen lies a large dining room to accommodate everyone during meal times. All staff are certified, friendly, humble, & keep the residents needs the priority.
